Alumil is one of the leading manufacturers of aluminium profiles in Europe and it offers ideal systems for windows and doors of your home. A wide range of products such as turn-tilt, sliding, lifting-sliding or accordion systems for windows and doors are designed and developed in ALUMIL’s research and development department and are characterized by superior aesthetics and excellent functionality. In achieving the goal of high-quality, ALUMIL’s energy efficient aluminium windows and doors are the first choice in building new and renovating existing objects in which a compromise is not an option. A wide range of swivel/tilt systems with insulation which meet the most demanding needs thanks to a large number of solutions and designs. Systems which offer high thermal insulation and water permeability, which combined with a high degree of sound reduction make them ideal for the most demanding projects.

Modern design and high technical characteristics

A wide range of various systems of modern design and technical characteristics offer durable and elegant solutions with outstanding performances which can be applied onto medium and high-end projects such as luxury objects, business centers, conference halls, hotels, restaurants and others.

The biggest difference, but also an advantage of aluminium joinery compared to wood and PVC, is the aluminium alloy, which has proven to be an exceptional material in terms of resistance and durability, while a wide selection of profiles and solutions allows you the realization of all your ideas. Aluminium profiles are most often divided into profiles with and without thermal breaks, and profiles with a thermal break of a system depth of 62 mm and a profile without a thermal break of a system depth of 60 mm are used most often. Because the property of all metals is expressed heat conductivity, profiles without thermal breaks are most often used for interior spaces as well as for exterior openings where thermal characteristics are not in the foreground. Profiles with a thermal break are recommended and used for residential and business space.

In aluminium profiles with a thermal break, there is a break made of hard polyvinyl chloride, i.e. the material used in the production of PVC profiles. The main feature of thermal breaks lies in the isolation of the profile, which means that due to changes in climatic conditions, the so-called sweating of the profile will not happen.

Aluminium profiles without a thermal break do not have one. Due to the fact that they are not provided with a thermal break, they have poorer insulation, so they are mainly used for making interior elements, such as partition doors, room doors, fixed elements, partition walls.

Heat insulation

ClimaGuard Solar glass, the main purpose of which is exceptional thermal insulation compared to traditional isolating glass, makes it possible to save half of the heating costs in cold days. Adequate thermal insulation is also needed in the summer, because the sun’s rays passing through the glass can significantly increase the temperature in the room. On hot days, the window surface is exposed to solar energy with more than 400 W/m2. With this glass, we significantly reduce the transmission of solar heat, because it lets only 42% of the total solar energy through. In the ClimaGuard Solar glass package, there is the option of a double-layer glass package, as well as a three-layer glass package.
